Laura Nichols known to all on MOL as Just Me Laura has died. Members of the MOL community first learned of this when an RIP message appeared on her facebook page. This horrible news so few of us were willing to accept has since been verified with her family and closest friends. She will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace. I know she will live on in my fond memories of her and I certain others will remember her as well. My deepest condolences to her family who are already gathered in the mourning of another family member who died just days ago. This is such very sad news.
I don't remember when I first met Laura in real life but she was always running off in a million directions and doing things for so many people. She was talented in so many ways. Cooking was just one small part of her talent and creativity. Over the years she became a friend. I'm so sad and heartbroken. I can't even think straight.
I never met her but you could sense her vibrancy and compassion just from her online presence. Very sorry for her family and everyone who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, Laura.
My heart is breaking for her family. So much grief. To say the family has my condolences does not convey the depth of feeling this horrible news brings. I wish them all the peace and healing that time can bring. Her giving soul will be greatly missed.
Folks - I'm sorry to report that my wife Laura Grace Stammers Nichols passed away last night. She was in Long Island helping my sister-in-law Deidre Stammers with funeral preparations for my late brother-in-law Adrian Allain and in the middle of a conversation she had an seizure and fell unconscious. EMTS rushed her to hospital but EMTs and ER team could not revive her. She was gone about 2:30 a.m. Please keep me and my kids, and Dan Pupke in your prayers. Although Laura and I were living apart, we remained close in the love and support of our children. We will have a wake and funeral at Preston Funeral Home in South Orange/Maplewood - next week - I'll post details when finalized. Thank you for all your love and peace. - Tommy
I can't believe this. Am out here in Southern California and yesterday I was moving a piece of furniture I got from Laura a few years ago and thought of her. To read that she has passed, and at such an already tragic time for her family, is incomprehensible. My thoughts are with her family. I don't know what to say.
I only knew her by her posts on here, but I am moved and so saddned by this news. I had hoped to meet her some day. Deepest condolences to her family and friends.
Unreal. I am in shock. She never met a person she wouldn't drop everything to help. My heart breaks for her family, and I cannot even fathom the depth of her sister's pain and loss. May she rest in peace.
Oh, no! I'd only met Laura in real life at the BPS, but she was so vibrant and such a presence there and here. My deepest sympathy to her children, family, friends....this is such a shock for me, I can't imagine how they feel. May she rest in peace and be remembered with love by all who knew her.
Like many others, I never met her, except here on MOL. She seemed a very caring and giving person. A terrible loss and my sympathies and prayers to her family and friends. RIP.
I am heartsick about this news. To let people know, I just spoke to Laura's husband, Tom, who posted information on Facebook. He is making wake and funeral arrangements today and then would like us to post something on The Village Green so people know all those details. That will be happening later today.
