RIP Margot Kidder

Passed today at age 69 yrs.   Cause of death not explained.

I briefly saw something about kidney cancer then it was removed, as it couldn’t be substantiated, I guess. She had had serious health concerns some little while ago.

Sad news. This household has one member in particular who is quite nostalgic for the Lois Lane of his youth.

And she played the immortal "Montana Wildhack" opposite Billy Pilgrim in Vonnegut's Slaughter House Five.............So it goes

The one and only best Lois Lane. She set the tenor for that character for every follow-up.

That was Valerie Perrine ... and Linda Ellerbee.

Similar miens, all.

Noel Neill was the 50’s tv Lois Lane.

But Kidder was the kick *** one.

Also, Phyllis Coates, who is still kicking.

it's interesting isn't it? I'm less than a year older than D, but for me Lois Lane is Noel Neill, for him Margot.  And he's the one who read and collected the comics.

 My bad..............so it doesn't go

Her best line in "Superman" comes when he snatches her as she's fallen 30 storeys, and he says, "Don't worry. I've got you...":

"You've got ME? Who's got YOU???"

I once confused Morgan Freeman with Morgan Fairchild, so I don't judge people who confuse Hollywood stars.

Oh, and then there was the one time at work that a co-worker was going on about how he HATED Bill Clinton, and I said I could understand someone not liking P-Funk since taste in music is subjective, but isn't hate a bit strong for a reaction?  Yeah, it took me awhile to live that one down.
