Try it out - searching by year works now - and results are a bit better.

Jamie, different topic

I just posted a plea for a fridge repair person but all that appears is the title??? -Ron

Can you provide more info - this is what I see

Sometimes it would be helpful to be able to search for a user without using a keyword. Example: today joanne posted the following on the Bring Out Your Dead thread

I’ve updated the Catholic Church thread with a short death notice.

But i can't find either the "Catholic Church thread" or her post, using her user name and "Catholic" or "died" or Catholic and Title.  Apologies if the answer is right in front of me...

Also, the formal title of the thread is longer.  I’ve just forgotten the actual wording, Mtierney started the thread.

Thanks joanne.  grin   marksierra also clued me in.  I wasn't aware of the subforum.

Still, it would be nice to search for a poster without knowing a specific word to search by....

@jamie

I posted in the thread: Maplewood Township Committee Primary

After I hit the "Add Comment" button it took me to an error message. I hit the back button, and my comment was there, and posted. I re-opened from the Forums page, and my post shows up that way too.

However, the "Forums" page that lists the thread identifies the last message posted to that thread was your original post (it doesn't recognize mine as being there).

I can click on a username in a thread and see all of their posts, if that's what you mean.

And if someone hasn't posted recently, you can add their name to the end of this url:

I had no idea what happened to this Mtierney thread, and even after reading the directions to find it, it was still difficult. Basically, it seems like a way to quietly deep 6 it. While I don't need to find long biblical passages on MOL, and have passed them by every year, I would continue to follow the discussion now and then and occasionally contribute if the discussion were more accessible.
