Your accountant may have a secure upload website...ask them. My last two accountants did.

Accountants are generally so backward when it comes to technology that I'd be more concerned with how they store the information once it gets there!
My accountant sends me encrypted PDFs, so I'm cautiously optimistic that they also store them that way in the office.
My husband just yesterday scanned a tax document at the front desk of his hotel in Athens.
