Senior German shepherd wants to keep you company

I'm fostering a senior shepherd who was recently surrendered to a local rescue (Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary). We don't have an exact age for Blondie, but she's definitely getting on in years based on her gray muzzle, worn-down teeth, and wobbly back legs. She'd love to find a cool, calm spot with few or no stairs to spend her retirement. She's very easy to have around the house. Three or four short walks a day and she's happy to spend the rest of the day snoozing in a corner or chewing on a bully stick.

She's gotten quite a bit stronger and faster just in the week I've had her thanks to anti-inflammatory meds and regular walks. She was a yard dog in her previous life and didn't get a lot of attention, so she doesn't ask for much.

She's UTD on shots and is currently being vetted, but she seems healthy other than the back end weakness. Solidly house-trained and no accidents. Friendly with other dogs and maybe a bit submissive. No experience with cats, but no way she could catch one even if she wanted to. No experience with kids, but she's been friendly to all the adults she's met.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like to meet Blondie. I live near downtown SO.

Beautiful dog. I do question the person who named her, however. That name for shepherds is sorta forever on the “nope” list.

So it's all about the name, and not the needs of this dog? Just sayin',,, Not to mention, I think you're wrong about the 'nope' list... Can anyone take the dog?!
