I just bought a used iPhone 4S running IOS 6. I want to restore this phone from the latest backup of my other iPhone 4S running IOS 8, but I want to keep IOS 6. If I choose the "Restore from this backup" option, will it automatically update the OS? Or will it ask me and allow me to keep IOS 6?
Or would I be better off setting it up as a new phone and doing everything manually?
(The main purpose of this exercise is to switch from AT&T to Verizon. AT&T data service is non-existent where I'm staying.)
