Hi, Thanks for asking! we need spools of elastic for sewing, 3/8''-3/4'' (but it's pretty hard to find.) Also cotton (like used for dress shirts or quilts) or cotton/poly blend fabric. (Cut into 6x9" rectangles if you're game.) Message me for central Maplewood dropoff location.
I will have elastic this weekend if you need it. I’m organizing community sewing initiatives for Atlantic Health System.

omg I hadn't seen that! Amy is a member! thanks!
no offense, but the sewing of masks, while well intentioned, seems like a waste of time.
Here's a much easier way
The CDC is now recommending that people wear cloth face masks while out in public to help slow the spread of #coronavirus. Here are some ways to make a simple mask without sewing. #covid19 #diyfacemask #bandana https://t.co/SpPLASdEGr pic.twitter.com/T620qpk6M8
Hi, a bunch of SOMa sew-ers are gathering (oops, virtually) to sew and collect masks, send me a message if you are interested in joining. Thanks!
