I am coming home from FL Thursday and I am definitely not excited about this!
"Snow" is a four letter word. Comes right there between "diet" and "work".

I thought it came between slip and fall.

It is too early to make a definitive forecast for Thursday night/Friday morning 11/7 - 8. That said, there is indeed a chance for some snow. Most likely scenario would have all rain, but some wet snow could mix in if the end of the precipitation happens in the early morning hours. Temps rise during the day, so it is unlikely any snow would stick around. I am very confident however that it will not cause a snow day.
Since we have no school on Friday, definitely no snow day.

^^Wins the "missed the obvious joke" award for today.

I swear, every single time Max posts about potential snow you are traveling either from or to Florida that day. Is this just a private joke?
Actually, I’m traveling from FL the day before this potential snow. I’m not worried about travel impact, just not too excited to come from 85, sunny and breezy to snow. It’ll be a jolt to the system. Not sure I understand your question- why would this be a joke? What’s funny?
(I travel A LOT. I travel for my main job about 6 times a year usually in the US and my secondary job is a travel agent so I travel internationally 3-4 times a year mainly to the Caribbean, sometimes Europe. I also have a condo in FL so I fly there roughly once a month.)
So the forecast is status quo, with overnight rain likely, possibly turning to mixed snow and rain as the system ends around daybreak. Little or no accumulation and a quick exit.
Left the hubby home and I too am enjoying 85 degree weather in Florida, Key West to be exact. Flying back Friday afternoon so I fully expect Max and Waxnut will have made sure that if there was any snow it is gone or I’ll just have to stay down her longer

Still Thurs night into Friday?

This looks like mostly rain to me tbh
Yes, what little snow there was has faded with each day, especially now that the precipitation has trended earlier.
Love the snow.

FL ..... 85, sunny and breezy.
You forgot to mention, humid, snake infested and the home of Donald Trump. Hate Florida.
Well, then you shouldn’t live or travel there. Problem easily solved!

I don't do either but its very existence makes me wary. Perhaps we could put a wall across the top of it or something? Sell it back to Spain?

Carve out Miami first please? As a graduate of their fine university I'd hate to see it go.

Da snakes --- So my uncle buys himself a retirement house in a golf resort near Panama City. As time goes by, golf course maintenance was neglected. I visited him in about 7 years later and he takes me to a tour of the place. There are now, two holes of golf that are available. The rest are weeds. Signs around the remaining two holes,
"Beware of rattlesnakes and alligators."
F... Florida

This is really just plain silly. There’s beauty, good people and interesting stuff everywhere in this world. Writing off an entire part of the country is just plain bigoted (saying you don’t travel South except for Texas in the other thread). News flash- Texas is often #1 in terms of both # of snakes and snakes with deadliest bites. Along with CA.
Can you take this argument somewhere else? Every time I see that the thread has new posts I click thinking maybe Max or WxNut has posted that there will actually be 5 feet of snow tomorrow.

Sure. Got a little carried away there. I am glad that conandrob has found her special place.
