Spicy Cucumber Sauce for grilled meats

I'll Start!

I've been serving this with BBQed Steak, Pork, etc, this summer. It complements grilled meat so well. Spicy but also cool and refreshing.

From NY Times.

Spicy Cucumber Sauce

 cup packed fresh cilantro leaves

 cup packed fresh parsley leaves

3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

2 to 3 jalapeños, seeded and chopped

2 garlic cloves, finely grated or minced

½ teaspoon fine sea salt, more to taste

1 teaspoon fresh lime juice, more to taste

3 Persian (skinny) cucumbers, thinly sliced (about 2 1/4 cups)

  •  In a blender, combine cilantro, parsley, oil, jalapeños, garlic, salt and lime juice. Blend until smooth, adding 1 or 2 tablespoons water if necessary to blend. Taste and add more salt and/or lime juice if needed.
  • In a medium bowl, toss cucumbers with a pinch of salt. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Right before serving, toss cucumbers with sauce
  • Serve alongside pork tenderloin, flank steak or any freshly grilled meat, drizzling it with any leftover sauce from the bottom of the cucumber bowl, and a little olive oil.

Heard you're a great cook T. How about a café with cool food and cooler music. I've even got the name.

That looks really good.  Switch one of the jalapenos to a habanero, and you have me on board.

That's funny - the first time I made it I said to myself, "Self, I can't taste the jalapeno at all. This needs habanero."

It's a great idea. You've got the name but do you have the $tart-up capital?
