Stormy Sues Trump

Fair enough. I guess I’m just not the kind of person who thinks they can tell women, even ex-porn stars, how they should make their money.

Then don’t give her any. Jeez.

Stormy's lawyer, Michael Avenatti is very smooth. HIs delivery contrasts with the subject matter.  I'm yearning for soothing voices in this carnival barker atmosphere.

Stormy Daniels lawyer claims in interviews on MSNBC and CNN that his client was threatened physically.

I saw Michael Avenatti's interview on Morning Joe this morning. He is certainly making the rounds, and drumming up interest in Daniel's interview on 60 Minutes scheduled for March 25.

Having said that, he has a very impressive background (except for the Tully's Coffee mess) and nothing he has said so far has been challenged by Trump's lawyers.

What I don't get is the strategy of Ms. Daniel's making the rounds of the strip clubs, most recently  covered by my old town paper The Village Voice. And The Little Red Riding Hood outfit?

Those are paying gigs.

No fees for downloaded films? I assumed the minute her name became public the search engines were jammed.

I don't think she gets royalties unless she owns her production company and from what I've read, she was contracted to Wicked Pictures so she doesn't, although she does have Producer credits on 5 of the 151 films she has made since 2000. Unless you are actively making movies in that industry you have to do the club and adult store signing circuit to make money.

Although he said it quite forcefully, I get the feeling that her attorney might regret saying that there was a physical threat. There might very well have been one but I think he’d want to wait until the interview is shown

After a look at the Red Riding Hood outfit, I would have thought a new clothing line.

I am amazed at the breadth of your knowledge.

I'm at home, which affords me the opportunity to browse otherwise NSFW wikipedia pages.

I know. I'm ready to marry him. So what if I"m already married!

Avenatti links the violent threat to trump.

Trump is attempting to move the case to a federal court (where he appoints the judges.) Avenatti is on Lawrence O'Donnell now. He says it is an attempt to bully and intimidate her, "and we're not going to stand for it." Lawrence points out that on the legal paperwork, trump has an alias: "our president, aka David Dennison."  Trump says he will claim $20,000,000 in damages if Stormy goes on 60 Minutes on March 25.

A New York judge has allowed a defamation lawsuit against Trump, filed by a former Apprentice contestant, to go forward. The suit was filed by Summer Zervos, one of the women who, after the Access Hollywood tape was released,  alleged that Trump touched them inappropriately. Trump said that the women were lying. Trump's lawyers argued that a president cannot be sued in state court.

Have yet to see a Trump tweet or other outburst calling her a liar.  Which could lead to a defamation lawsuit.  Which could lead to discovery.  Which could lead to a deposition.  Which could be trouble if she saved any souvenirs (which is a show we've seen before).

What I find rather sad is that so many people are calling Stormy Daniels a gold digger who just wants her 15 minutes of fame.  The pigs in these situations are generally the men.

If two are both metaphorically rolling in the mud, then it is likely that both are pigs.

Let's see - one is rich and powerful.  The other basically just trying to get by.  I suppose Stormy Daniels is making pretty good coin now, but I'll bet it didn't start out that way.

In my book, the bigger pig is always the richer and more powerful person.  And I hold the married member of an affair such as this to a higher standard than the unmarried member.

Of course, we like to blame the weaker party.

Never saw a pig metaphorically roll in the mud. Known a few, though, that simply met a fork.

Here’s another one: If a pig metaphorically rolls in the mud, does it have writing chops?

An Italian pig metaphorically rolled in the mud. The result: Genoa simile.

Don't stop DaveSchmidt, he's on a (pork) roll.

Sounds like your version of "comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable."   IMHO, this comfort/afflicted phrase is part of the left's stereotype portraying rich people as parasites who take from other people (zero sum game analysis).   I have included a link from Reason magazine which shows an example of the other side of story.  See http://reason.com/archives/2017/11/29/myth-of-the-evil-rich  The focus of this article seems much more praiseworthy than Trump.

PS  Chavez in Venezuela afflicted the comfortable and you can see what has resulted (the most educated, efficient and wealthy have for the most part left Venezuela).

PPS I despise DJT but I despise stereotyping even more.
