That trash was almost one Republican heartbeat from being President. How did we get so lucky that we avoided that?

Whoa! Reminds me of neighbors I had in the North Country. Only difference is they didn't have a white limousine. Who was the last person in the WH with boozing, white trash spouses and children?

I've read the thread title and just wanted to let you know that I've not read anything in this thread

Hey, I lived in Monroe Cty, PA for 14 years. Sounds about like the Minisink Hotel (Marshalls Creek), a local bar that got scary from time to time, what with the dickfights.

Hear you GL2! The Dugway, aka the "Bucket of Blood" was a stones throw away from where I lived.

Everyone knows what they are. Why must we give them the attention that keeps them in the spotlight and therefore, in the game

You got me. Clinton?

Don't know. Is a serious question that my searches haven't answered.

You could probably say a lot of bad things about Hillary and Chelsea, but boozing and white trash are probably not among them.

Good question, though. Do we have to go back to the days of Andrew Johnson, or Andrew Jackson? Even then?

Good for you, LOST. I resent the obvious glee with which liberals look down their holier-than-thou noses at mama grizzlies and their cubs, as evidenced by the cheap shots lefties take by posting such threads. As if they don't engage in good old-fashioned knock down drag out fights while celebrating birthdays. They hate America and American values. What's a party without some down home fun?

if we expand it to brothers, I guess we could include Carter.

Don't know if anyone actually read the whole report, but it was kind of a pisser. Wotta bunch of clowns that family is.

I did not read it. If someone wants to claim that the summaries are not fair to Ms. Palin, I'll check it out.

But, really, why should I have to listen to Ms. Palin lecture me about family values, or being a "real American", when that report seems to memorialize so much of what we know are the problems in America today.

I'd call it "Real Housewives of Alaska", except for the marriage part. Sorry if that sounded unfairly snarky, but I just don't like getting lectures on morality and raising children from former Governor Palin.

Appears there is way more "hanky-panky" than anything else happening in the WH. Tom is likely correct that you have to go back to the 19th century to find presidents (and their families) who resemble the Palins.

Serious question: would Palin family fun look different if she were living at One Observatory Circle (vp's crib)?

The Bush twins had some fun times in the early 2000's, but nothing major, and they've grown out of that now. All I can really think of is Carter's brother. Clinton had a bad-boy brother, too, didn't he?

It says a highly intoxicated Track took his shirt off to fight. Why, oh why couldn't the film crew from "Cops" have been there to record this moment. Cue the Beverly Hillbillies banjo music as a soundtrack.

Like a really awful Randolph Scott western.

The usual suspects at it again over nothing...

Shame, shame... just like the stupid childish stuff I'd expect to see from this group who still fear the return of Sarah Palin to the ballot box.

your ability to compartmentalize is remarkable

It is nothing. We're just chatting.

If it was Mr. Obama, you'd be all over it.

Chatting plus schadenfreude ... like you feel when you find out Justin Bieber's been arrested again.

Ex half-term Governor Palin can go to the ballot box and vote like every other citizen. No one fears that and no one is stopping her. As to returning as a candidate the only folks who would suffer agita are most of the members of the Republican National Committee.

(Will some of my fellow Non-"Real" Americans check my spelling of "agita"?)

Yer good with agita...and I'm from Avellino...well, mom and dad were.

Have we done this before? My parents were from near Avellino too. Andretta, to be exact. Paisano!
