Will Herschel Win?

Interesting which is NOT his preferred committee cheese

Also, of course you’ve heard, but not discussed (I think), that Warnock is suing Georgia for his ‘problems’ with early voting results?

He doesn't have problems with "early voting results". He has problems with the attempt by Georgia to limit early voting in the upcoming runoff, based on an inconsistent application of Georgia law.

Thank you. This will teach me not to assume content from a heading, without reading fully then rushing off to do other things. I apologise for my hasty post. (I can’t find a sufficiently mortified emoji)

Do you work with the Warnock team to get a call list?

I know! I know!

He's not just an expert on European foreign policy, he's also a cultural anthropologist.

[Edited to add] I think "Maxine Waters" is trending because of the suggestions that she visit with Michael Tracey about his latest.

Tracey expounding on what defines stupid is perfect.

Herschel speaks rambles while Warnock is opening a new box of silver bullets.

“Fright Night, Freak Night, or some type of night”, he said in rambling remarks: “I don’t know if you know, but vampires are some cool people, are they not? But let me tell you something that I found out: a werewolf can kill a vampire. Did you know that? I never knew that.

“So, I don’t want to be a vampire any more. I want to be a werewolf.”

I had no idea werewolves could kill vampires.  Has any other politician revealed critical info like this before?  I don't recall.

Have you not watched the Vampire Diaries. All you need to know about werewolves and vampires.

Herschel is not called stupid because of his accent or his colloquialisms.  He's called stupid because he says stupid and ignorant things.

He keeps this up and Warnock will have double digit lead by the runoff…

“Do y’all know what the definition of an enemy is? A enemy is somebody that don’t like you. But they been telling you they don’t know the definition of a woman either. So think about that either. They don’t know the definition of a woman. But I’m going to tell you the definition of a woman. Because it written in my great book. It said ‘a man and a woman.’ And there’s a difference between the two of them. So that’s the reason men shouldn’t be in women’s sport—here’s a difference.

But then, yet, they trying to tell you a man could get pregnant. Get that out of your head. No, he can’t. No, he can’t. All they’re trying to do is take you down in that elevator, take you down in that elevator and lie to you. But I’m going to tell you right now, I’m not going to lie to you. I’m going to tell you, we’re in a mess. We’re in a mess because we put weak leaders in Washington. Weak leaders in Washington that not representing us.”

I wish you were right, but I don't think Walker could possible say or do anything worse than what he's done already to turn off R voters. Our best hope is that they just decide to stay home because they think the election isn't important anymore.

My bet is that despite all of these very bizarre things he says, he will come uncomfortably close to winning. I will go out on a limb and say a difference of less than 25,000 votes.

While I think it's deplorable that people would vote for Walker based on pure partisanship, I'd also have to admit I'd vote for a canned ham for senate if it was the Democratic nominee.

Primary residence - Texas?

This is like another T****/Oz pick hoping to get in by name recognition.  I guess it's not surprising.

they’re all cast from the same mold. Just deplorable. I’m waiting for terp to mention Hillary in New York…

Latest polls:

Warnock 51%
Herschel 47%

I really think Walker is going to be hurt because the Democrats have the Senate either way.  I believe many normal republicans who were going to hold their nose and vote for him will stay home.

Well hopefully some people in Georgia know what an erection is…

Maybe — if they fail to comprehend that the locked-in seat counts for control in the 2024 and 2026 elections, too.

When this came out I thought it not a big deal him having a a house in Texas. Now that I read its his primary residence and he's been living there full time for 20 years, it is.

It is, because they're mocking our constitution which requires that senators and congresspersons be residents of the states they represent. They're treating the requirement as a joke.

Big surprise. The Texas comptroller finds it legal -

According to the Texas comptroller, Mr. Walker’s use of the tax exemption while running in Georgia is legal. The comptroller’s website states that you may still receive the tax break after moving away from home temporarily, if “you do not establish a principal residence elsewhere, you intend to return to the home, and you are away less than two years.”

If Walker's primary residence is in Texas, where did he vote?

I'd bet 10 to 1 he's never voted in his life before this Georgia election.

We wouldn’t trust a pollie who hasn’t voted.
(yeah, I know that’s the point you’re making, but it’s harder to get away with it here)

Could be the Republican Party in Georgia is paying Herschel big bucks to run for the Senate?

as far as I'm concerned, this is mostly a non-issue with regard to the Georgia senate race. RFK and Hillary Clinton became NY residents strictly to run for senate from that state, so it's not like this is unprecedented.

However, the state of Texas may be calling on Herschel to pay back that tax break they gave him.
