Suggestions for summer camp transportation

my 12 and 7 yr old are signed up for a tennis camp located a few miles away. Any leads/ suggestions on how to get them back and forth would be most appreciated.

Thinking of scheduled Uber rides but nervous to send such young kids by themselves. Nanny doesnt drive and options like Vantastic shuttle are way too expensive.

TIA!

Uber riders must be at least 18 to have an account and request rides.  Those under 18 must be accompanied by someone over 18.  However, I do know that many people use Uber for driving their teenagers around that are under 18.  That said, I would never put kids age 12 and 7 in a car with a stranger alone.

The nanny could ride with them in the Uber. Can the camp give you any suggestions?  may be another family from the same area?

If you have a nanny, wouldn't it be part of her job to accompany your children? If she did know how to drive, she'd be driving them. How many hours will your children be there? If it's full day, then your nanny can uber home and return to camp at the end of the day to accompany them home. (May be worth it to just get Vantastic at that point.) If it's half day, she can wait there, or uber to nearby commercial area to do errands for you.

You can't send kids this age in any kind of taxi alone. Unless it's specifically licensed as children's transportation, like Vantastic. That's why Vantastic and similar services are pricey. They have all the proper insurances and licenses and safety training to be doing what they're doing.

a few miles back in an Uber can't be that expensive....do they have any built in function for a round trip ride...making it a 6 mile trip with a 1 minute stop instead of 2 3 mile trips (approximately a few miles each way)
