The Golden Knights

If hockey was more popular, the achievements of the Las Vegas Golden Knights this year would be one of most talked about sports stories of the year.  They are a first year expansion team, built on castoffs from all the other teams, yet they finished near the top of the league in wins and points, and are the winningest first year team in NHL history.  No other first year NHL team has made the playoffs since 1979-80 (and those were not expansion teams but teams that came from the WHA).  Right now they are up 3 games to 0 in the first round against a pretty good LA Kings team and thus poised to sweep.

I have no love for the city of Las Vegas but have to tip my hat and root for an expansion team that has performed like this.

Let Vegas stay in Vegas....Lets go Devil's!  Last place last year and in the playoffs this year.   And our home team.

Nothing against Devils but the long view is to beat the Pens and I think the Bolts/Rangers South are the team to do that.

They still feel like a fake team to me, like the ones that are made up for movies about professional sports.
