Where to buy replacement cushion material nearby

Last month we purchased a couch from Jennifer convertibles that we're very happy with. My favorite thing about this couch is that the cushions are firm. We have another, older couch that has cushions that sink all the way down, but the fabric is fine. I'm wondering if there are any local places that will sell me a block of 3' x 2' x 6" cushion foam so I can replace the foam in the old couch's cushions.

Alternatively I contacted Jennifer Convertibles and they suggested I contact the manufacturer of the couch that we bought from them which I'm following up on.

I recall from a long ago project that Joann fabric sells foam blocks in varios shapes sizes for this purpose. I don't know if they still do.

There's a place in Union that sells foam. Darn if I can remember their name though.

Terminal Mill Ends is the place in Union. We've gotten foam and fabric for new window seats from them.

I've used Terminal Mill Ends for lots of things and would recommend them.

On the off chance that you can't find what you are looking for locally, there's a mail order place for replacement foam for cushions. The link is: https://www.buyfoam.com/Store/Shapes/Default.aspx

@cody buyfoam.com is exactly how I'd like to buy foam on the web, but I'm surprised at how pricey it is! The two cushions are quoted at $126! @nohero @rowerg I will check out Terminal Mills and Joann - thanks for these suggestions!

Wow! $126 is very pricey! I'd skip them, too!

There's a place on route 22 in North Plainfield called Fabric Collection that sells foam, never purchased from them but I've seen it on display.

If you consider Joanns, download their ap or go online for coupons. There is always one available to save 25-50% on an item.

I replaced a couple of sofa cushions (foam) within the last year and after a lot of comparison shopping, used Unique Upholstery in SO rather than go the DIY route. One thing I learned is that reasonable quality replacement foam is not inexpensive.

@cody - after calling several local upholstery shops, I can confirm that foam is surprisingly expensive! Infact, the buyfoam.com is about 30% less expensive than the closest local shop.

@mergele - Unique Upholstery did not appear on my Yahoo search. Do you have their phone number?

Thanks for the info, @sevzas! Hope you find what you need for your couch.

@sevzas - sorry - Ultimate Upholstery: http://ultimate-upholstery.com/

@mergele - thank you!
