I've used Ned Stevens for years and am tired of their hard sell, among other things. Can anyone recommend a good gutter cleaning service that also repairs and replaces gutters? I need to find someone before my house is painted in August. Thanks!
The painters will likely take down the gutters to paint the house. So you may want to have the repairs/cleaning done at the same time.
garden state gutters have been good for me. West Orange, NJ

Thanks all. I'll call Nick and Garden State. I was advised by my house painter to have the gutters cleaned and repaired before the onset of the job.
Is it normal for gutter cleaners to leave the bags of cleaned out gunk behind? My guys did so after a major cleanout, and, when asked, claimed that the town would pick up the bags.
Since South Orange does not pick up yard waste in the summer, and since I don't have a yard waste contract with the trash guys, I called a second time and told them that they really do need to take the waste away.
So I just got home to find the waste gone (after two weeks) and a bill for an extra $15. Is this standard operating procedure or is it time for me to pay them off and find a new gutter service?
yes, gutter guys typically leave the clean out behind. and yes, depending on the pick up schedule, this can be problematic.
