@doxie_frenchie I did not - I'm not on Facebook. Perhaps someone could copy and paste this onto the swap group for them?
Swap has been successful in finding lost pets ! I'd also suggest your neighbors call local vets and the PD. wishing Max a safe return home
Yes, they have called the local PDs and will call the vets tomorrow. Puppy Love is on notice as well. Tomorrow if he is not back they will be posting signs
Posted on Facebook swap ISO page, and I believe @calliope posted on swap. I also posted on a lost dogs nj page
@calliope I'm sue by the way, if you're the person who posted!
I'm on the other side of Maplewood, but I'll keep my eyes open for Max while I walk my dog. Hope he gets back home safely and quickly.
Have them check Newark shelter - not just call but actually go - maybe he was picked up during the night /p>
He has a new turquoise color and a multi colored harness. Owner is calling all the vets and shelters this AM
Great! I am keeping max in my thoughts and sharing with my social networks
Never mind - I worked out the picture issue I was having and forwarded Max's picture to some non-MOL friends who live in that area.
I don't have the details but someone called the Owner and said they have Max, safe and sound. Reunion will take place when the finder returns home from work. Max went all the way to West Orange
So glad to read he is found - a black pug on dark roads in a heavy storm is not a good scenario.
So relieved!
It is very troubling when dogs are lost in a thunderstorm because they panic and run blindly. Indoor cats will hunker down nearby, but dogs will just take off. Please remember this on 4th of July---never leave your dog unattended even for a moment if they give any indication of being nervous during thunderstorms or fireworks. Dogs will run for miles without stopping and then become disoriented with panic, and can have a difficult time finding their way back home.
So glad Max will be safe and sound once more.
Ooo, that's a good piece of advice. As July 4 gets closer, a thread specifically reminding dog owners about that would be a great idea. I remember last year when people were posting about lost dogs after taking them to see the fireworks.

Yay! Who knew pugs liked to travel? Glad he is safe.
My aunt and uncle had pugs, and we were under strict orders whenever we went to their house to be careful about opening and closing the front door, because their dogs were always trying to get out.
Max is at the home of the Good Samaritan until she gets home from work. Then he will be brought home. I will post when I see him at his home! The key was my neighbor put up posters in the wee hours and this person saw them on the way to work
Yay! I've alerted Facebook that max has been found - news spread quite far!
Max is on his way home...any minute he will be reunited! The nice person who found him sent my neighbor a pic!
UPDATE: DOG HAS BEEN FOUND
My neighbor's black pug, Max, slipped out the back door earlier this afternoon. N Wyoming area. He is a friendly and sweet dog. Please call if you see him - they are very worried.
