Recommendations for Opthamologist

Thanks all. Ver much appreciated. Have an app't with Dr. Seery for Thursdsay am, but might try to see another of the recommended dr.'s if I can get an earlier appointment. Will keep you posted. Hope I have good news to share.

@kat In my husband's case, he got an appt right away when he said that he suspected retinal detachment. If this is what you think you have, please mention to drs office when you call.

@dg64 I did and this is the best they could do, though I all call again in morning and see if they can bump me up.

I want to thank everyone for all their recommendations. I was able to see Dr Seery today and he said my eyes were fine. The conclusion was probably flashes of light related to migraine without the migraine pain. Regular wear and tear for a person my age, but he also informed me on what to look out in the future. What a relief!

Fantastic!

I don't want to scare you, but the first time my husband saw the ophthalmologist (was someone on Millburn Avenue) with some complaints, he got a clean bill of health. When his symptoms persisted, he went back again a week later and was diagnosed with retinal detachment and had to go in for emergency procedure.

So stay vigilant. It is such a horrible thing to happen.

@dg64 .Eeee. Thanks for the heads up.
