Someone gave us a gift of beautiful orange tulips last week and I was taking some pictures of them earlier today. Since they are orange, I'll post a picture of them here - I thought of Laura as I was taking these.

Oh Cody: I was in my brother's garden yesterday and saw some just like that! They're out of season here, but he's on a higher elevation and a little cooler, and they had burst into autumn bloom! Yes, made me think of her too, for some reason...

Suzie2: It doesn't have to be ribbon. I chose to crochet orange yarn, Cody is knitting something similar, Mem suggested using orange duct tape (available at Home Depot), someone else suggested using orange crepe paper which is available in streamer width. George may have some orange ribbon left (you can check with him tomorrow). It is the thought that counts.

Thanks, Joan, I'm aware it needn't be ribbon. That's why I was looking at any orange clothing we might have that could be tied around a tree. There's not much of anything orange in our house. I'll be calling George in the morning.

I keep trying to get over to Irvington Ave with some ribbon, but I run out before I get there. Help! I got permission from Morrow Church and did 2 of their trees, but would like to do the step railings for the service.

I have a large roll of ribbon. My husband is going out after work, so I can't hit Seton Village tonight, but I'll try to do it tomorrow after the kids are in bed. I can also give ribbon to anyone who needs it. PM me if you need some.

I will try to head over to South Orange around 5:30 and pick up some ribbon from @jdberkeley and then go to Irvington Ave. Is that okay with you George?
