You know, as I think about it, I feel like it's probably just another in an endless series of distractions the Trump administration has been throwing out. I'm coming up with too many metaphors.
The best metaphor I can come up with is the laser pointer used to get a cat worked up and chasing something that's ultimately without substance. CBS News spending time scanning that document and posting it online is a waste of their time when there are more substantive things to report on. Even if it's just an intern in a room with a scanner, that intern could be doing something else more useful. Reporting on the contents and moving on seems like the right play.
But a fair follow-up question (if this WH ever takes reporters' questions again) is when will the administration make the plan fully public and send it to Congress?
And yes, I was certainly distracted by this and would have been delighted to read and comment on the whole stupid Macguffin.

What if the only topic that interests me is coverage for preexisting conditions. Can I easily find the page where that section begins?
Remember the "Death Panels" in Obamacare. The woman who first wrote about them was on the Daily Show and Jon Stewart kept asking her to point out where exactly those were in the Law and she couldn't answer.
As far as I am concerned CBS can save themselves the (scanning) effort: I have no desire to read any of the materials in that book because I don't trust the author. That's the problem with always lying, nobody believes you anymore.

Just thought I'd update this - it's been 4 months since he said he'd have these bills signed. I guess he'll pass on what's been written up so far on them to Biden.
And how about the 10% tax cut for the middle class announced days before the midterm elections?
Since he never completed his Wall does Biden have to refund Mexico's money?
I’m sure it would, but you’d think they’d employ multiple scanners. And in the interest of Democracy, they’d be best to load it into the public domain to be picked apart rather than just treating it as a “scoop.”
